DONCASTER ST LEGER 1790

The 15th winner of the St Leger, held on Tuesday 28th September 1790 over the 2 miles of Town Moor, was Ambidexter, a bay colt by Phenomenon out of Manilla, owned by Mr Dealtry. A field of 9 runners contested the race, although there were 15 subscriptions of 25 guineas each, which was worth 375 Guineas. (Equivalent to £55,600 in 2017)
